my new favorite lip pencils

I've spent the last year or so building an essentials makeup collection, (Which I'll share really soon!) and the hardest part was lip products. I usually don't wear any, because they really intimidate me, but I was tired of looking a little undone when I had a full face of makeup on.
I had to decide what kind of lip product to get. I have to line my lips if I use most lipsticks and I loathe liquid lipsticks. I decided to go the pencil route and started doing my research. I looked at many, including cult classics like the Nars Lip Pencils (Which are almost thirty dollars a piece.). Then I remembered seeing Nudestix face pencils in a couple of videos on Amy Serrano's channel, and here and there on a couple others. Not only did they seem pretty and easy to use, they also had a lower price point when bought in sets. I found a promo code for 20% off my first order and purchased the #BABEBOSS set.
The set includes 5 of their formulas: The Lip + Cheek Cream, Gel Lip + Cheek Balm, Intense Matte Lip + Cheek, Intense Matte Lip, Intense Matte Lip + Cheek, and Magnetic Matte Lip. Now a little about my lips. I have poorly-defined lips on the smaller side and I don't use lip scrubs or lip masks. They're not usually dry, but I do have texture that shows when I have a drying product on. The Mattes are actually really comfortable, and while they're obviously going to be dry and not a wet look, it didn't dry out my lips and wore comfortably. They do need touch-ups, which is inevitable for most lip products, and super easy to do with pencils.
The thing I was most nervous about was the color range. It seemed pretty similar, but they swatched uniquely enough. Similar colors are also in different formulas so they result in a different look. (There is also a light brown shade called "Boho" but I'm a dummy and left it in my travel bag and forgot to photograph it.) I'm actually happy with the shade range, and it definitely covers everything I need right now.
If you're looking for a good product at a good value I would definitely check these out.
